Project Overview

As an independently owned and operated medical imaging provider, Life Medical Imaging offers patients a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. These services include sub specialist women’s imaging, paediatric imaging, and cardiac imaging. With an expert team of clinical and support staff, Life Medical Imaging provides patients with the highest standards of care; in a modern, professional, and comfortable environment.

Prior to the opening of its new centre on the Central Coast, Life Medical Imaging began an extensive rebranding process. This involved the construction of an intuitive website that was optimized to highlight the company’s two distinct areas of service – general radiology and women’s radiology.

Project Goals

The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Jacob Wasef, approached Frank Lauda Digital with the aim of designing two separate websites – one for its general radiology division and the other for its women’s radiology division. After multiple discussions, it was determined that these sites be constructed under the same domain.

The primary goals of the new website were to attract more visitors and generate more business leads. Additionally, the new website needed to convey a consistent brand message that established a sense of familiarity, trust, and consumer confidence.

Our Role

After multiple discussions with the client, we began a comprehensive process of research that informed our direction. This involved UX research that was undertaken by analysing data from the client’s original website. After this step was finalized, we created wireframe mock-ups of the new site, which encompassed high-fidelity mock-ups for the site’s key pages. Live working prototypes were then constructed as a means of testing the new site’s user experience design.

To develop the new website, a WordPress multisite was created. This allowed us to construct two unique sites, all under a single user administration. We completed this process by incorporating data into the services pages, as well as a set of animations on the new site’s home page.

Outcome

Life Medical Imaging now has a beautifully designed, intuitive website that builds trust and guides visitors to take action. Not only does the new site convey authority, it showcases a friendly look and feel, which has been achieved with the use of animations across the site’s home page. As a result, the website has a refreshing tone that sets the client apart from other providers’ more rigid, generic websites.

Best of all, the new website has been optimised for usability – in terms of form and aesthetics – and overall functionality. An example of this is the contrast between the original website’s complex and confusing design, and the new site’s simple, user-friendly navigation.
